Poor Brand Awareness in Second Life

Brands are struggling to make an impact in Second Life, says an opinion poll of over 1000 avatars by CB News.

The Business and Games Blog has a decent synopsis with some pretty cutting words, including “failure of brands”. It also highlights a comment suggesting this may be due to high turnover of users and avatars. New and established communities alike each have value for a brand, with the ideal situation being a new community that is less likely to react violently to changes in their world, but which also goes on to become established.
